The project focuses on transforming a 30m wide vehicular road to a pedestrian-friendly street flanked by 56 shops.

Site Context
Chappan Dukan is a 200-metre-long series of shops serving delectable delicacies that are famous in Indore. Situated in the center of the city, this food street is served as one of the major tourist destinations. Before revamping, the street was in haphazard condition without any on-street parking and public amenities for the visitors. The street used to be a 30m wide motorized road, which was converted into a pedestrian-friendly street.
How hot this street actually gets, and what that means for the people using it.
Pedestrian comfort and usage drops sharply above certain thresholds
In higher humidity contexts, airflow often matters as much as shade.
With index above 27, conditions feel more uncomfortable than the readings
Streets with meaningful canopy coverage tend to retain foot traffic through hot parts of the day
Seating availability directly shapes who can use a street, and how inclusive it is.
It depicts the presence of cycling opportunity for users of the area
